​​It was kindergarten pick up. My mother had been asked to speak to the teacher. To Mum’s surprise the teacher showed her one of my drawings.

“Look!”

Mum was confused. It looked like any other drawing I had done. Which was a lot. I loved to draw. 

​

“She’s articulated the whole body” my teacher said, waiting for a reaction. 

​

“The arms, the legs, the fingers....” 

​

Mum looked at her surprised. 

​

“She’s even drawn the eyelashes!” 

 

Apparently this was not a normal kindergarten drawing. 

 

So, it can be said I like to notice detail. Which I’ve applied to most of my life. From art at school, graphic design at uni and now advertising. 

 

I never intended to get into this industry, solely because I didn’t realise it existed. 5 years in, I’m very glad I found it. 

So far I’ve turned a car into diamonds, called out sexist e-gaming abuse and created some ridiculous sushi hot cross buns. Keep an eye out for what's next.
